EXCURSION PROGRAM:
A ride in an air-conditioned bus through the beautiful landscape to the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Upon arrival in NP, the guests receive a breakfast package. After that we take a short break and enter the entrance no. 2 where we get on a boat that goes 5 minutes across the largest lake Kozjak to the upper lakes.
Upon arrival at the upper lakes, there is 1 walking tour to see the upper lakes. The upper lakes form a series of twelve interconnected lakes. The lakes are connected by a series of breathtaking waterfalls and travertine barriers that change shape with the power of water. Lakes are constantly changing color depending on the mineral composition of the water and the microorganisms that live in them. As you walk the wooden hills and roads that dance across the sound of the water, the cascades and waterfalls that surround them leave you with a unique experience of connecting with nature. As we continue along the trail, watching the picturesque cascades, the walk takes you to a boat that sends you across the largest lake Kozjak to Donja Jezera. The boat ride takes about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the Lower Lakes, we will take about 30-45 minutes to rest, buy souvenirs, have lunch or coffee.
After the rest, we continue touring Lake 2 on a walking tour to see the lower lakes. The Lower Lakes are an area consisting of four lakes located in a limestone canyon. This fantastic world of natural limestone dams - constantly created by the deposition of calcium carbonate, even as water loses them with cascades - is the perfect combination of unique geological features you’ll rarely find anywhere else on Earth. Here thewalking culminates with the Great Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Croatia, where we also end the tour of Plitvice Lakes. We continue towards exit n. 1 where a bus is waiting for us to return to Zadar.
